The Massane senior team is fighting for promotion on home turf !
On 5 and 6 September 2026, Golf de Massane will host the Occitanie League Team Championship Senior Men’s Promotion. It will be a particularly important competition for our team, who will have the advantage of playing at home with one clear goal : securing promotion to the 1st Division.
- A Decisive Weekend at Massane
For two days, Golf de Massane will be at the heart of the Occitanie League Championship. Up to 20 teams will compete in this event, reserved for senior golfers aged 50 and over.
For the Golf de Massane team, the stakes will be even higher as they compete on their home course. It will be an opportunity to represent the club in front of their home crowd and make the most of their knowledge of the course.
- Day One : Qualifying for the Final Stage
Saturday 5 September will be dedicated to the qualifying stage.
Each team will field six players over 18 holes, with the five best scores counting towards the team ranking.
At the end of the opening day, the eight highest-ranked teams will qualify for the final stage, with promotion to the 1st Division Senior Men within reach.
- Day Two : Match Play Takes Centre Stage
On Sunday 6 September, the competition will switch to a particularly intense final stage played in knockout match play.
The eight qualified teams will be drawn according to their ranking from the previous day: 1st vs 8th, 2nd vs 7th, 3rd vs 6th and 4th vs 5th.
Each tie will consist of one foursomes match and four singles matches, all played in match play.
The objective is clear : win the tie and secure promotion to the 1st Division.
At the end of the final stage, the four winning teams will earn promotion to the higher division.
